  1. Oh I so like reading these missives Charlie. How is the publishing coming along? and how is your second book coming? I can’t wait for the next installment. I’m a sunshine girl through and through. But here in Alberta we desperately need the rain – a solid month of it is what we need. Desperately. So if we are lucky enough to have that then I will really try not to complain, even if I get a little glum. But right now snow is still disappearing, it is starting to get warmer (as in 10C usually) – today even got to 18C. Feels beautiful even with the dark skies. We uncovered the strawberries, but there is no way we can plant yet with temperatures predicted to get below zero later this week.

Oh I’m so glad that Mama Mia helped Phillipe – its hard when our mates are not happy. I know that feeling only too well.

I love the little Otter – Otters are one of my favourite critters. They are so cool – very family oriented, devoted to all their chores, extremely playful and they still know how to relax. We could learn alot from Otters. They show us how life should be.

Lots of hugs and much love to you Charlie!

    1. Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕 As for the book… I have the outline and some of the second one started, but I’ve been too busy to get much done. I think I might approach traditional publishers with this one first, but that means it’s going to be quite some time before it would see the light of day! hehe

Yeah, the temps here keep dipping toward 0 here. Philippe rushed outside to rescue his basil plant. And he’s now feeling fully restored thanks to Meryl. lol

Big hugs and much love to you, my friend! ❤️

  2. Hola, Charlie! What a super cute otter! 😍😍😍 Our weather has been mixed. Hot, cold, hot, cold. Yesterday, we were near 90*F. Today, we were in the 70’s. Crazy. Plus, the pollen and allergens are insane and have wreaked havoc on me. Typical Texas weather this time of year, but it is so beautiful outside. Nothing like beautiful green leaves and blooming flowers. I just love being outside this time of year. It’s so dreamy good!
Charlie, on Monday, we are going to experience a full solar eclipse over Texas and part of San Antonio. I am busting at the seams with excitement. I can’t wait! It’s only going to cover half of San Antonio, which is weird, but I have a reserved spot for my mom and I at one of the old Air Force bases here in SA that has been converted into a science/technology/engineering hub. I feel better going there than venturing out, West of San Antonio, trying to find some place safe for us while fighting the thousands of tourists that are expected to descend upon Texas. So, I am so excited! 🎉🎉🎉 Isn’t it supposed to pass over Kansas City?
Enjoy your week, my sweet friend. Te quiero mucho, mi amigo, Charlie. 💜🤗 I’m glad that Philippe is feeling better. 😊😊😊 My favorites are “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” and, “Gigi.” And, of course, one that we’ve talked about before, “Bye, Bye, Birdie.” 😂😂😂 The Budget movies make me happy, too.

    1. Hola, mi amiga! 😃💕 Yeah, the weather has no clue what season it wants to be right now here. And I have mild allergies, but this year I’ve definitely noticed them. hehe
That’s so awesome the Eclipse will be where you are! We got to experience one a few years back and it’s so wild and awesome. This one is missing most of Missouri (just the lower right south of St. Louis).
And yeah, Philippe feels just fine now. We watched Everyone’s Talking About Jamie last night just to keep the theme going! lol
Big hugs and much love to you! ❤️

  3. Wonderful illustration and essay – and good reminder of the importance of taking time for contemplation. Glad Phillippe is feeling better due to” Mama Mia Medicine”! 🙂

  4. We’ve had exceptionally beautiful weather for the last 5 days, and I’ve been trying to send some of the sunshine to various people. I think I overdid it because now the gray and rain is coming back. Sorry, I didn’t have enough to send your way, but I hope you’ll get some sunshine soon!

  5. Hello Charlie,

Oh what I wouldn’t give for weather like yours! I love love love gray rainy days and I love to walk in the rain. And that otter is so adorable and content. My first reaction on seeing the wonder on his face was “Im sure he’s watching a bunch of butterflies”. Is he Charlie??? And I’m glad Phillipe felt better after the Meryl Streep Tonic. Send me some rain Charlie… I’ll send you loads of sunshine. We’ve got too much of it here.

    Love,
    Mugdha

    1. Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 You know, I often add a butterfly for an animal to enjoy. I think in my mind there’s always one nearby! hehe And that’s a deal! Rain coming your way and send me that sun! Much love to you!! ❤️
