I’m not sure if I could get tired of creme brulee. Maybe if I was having it with every meal, but probably not even then. Of course, I’d want the traditional recipe with all the eggs and cream and sugar, so if I were having it with every meal I probably wouldn’t live long enough to get tired of it. But what a way to go, lol!
Beautiful sketch!
Thanks so much!! 😃💕
That would definitely be a wonderful way to go! lol 😉💕
Charlie look out for carbs and fats, ignore calories. Sounds goodums!
It’s still always good to be sure I’m not eating more calories than I burn in a day! hehe Thankfully, the weather is nicer so that means more long walks and extra exercise! 😉💕
Beautiful painting and a dessert that looks decadent!!! I try very hard to live by the word moderation, especially when it comes to food…most of the time it works 😁.
Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Me as well… sometimes, I go a little overboard, but sometimes… it’s worth it! hehe
wonderful sketch! And good to add the fruit as a “health benefit”. 🙂
Enjoyed your essay and agree that treats are important, especially on a rough day.
Enjoy the cake!
Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Treats were made for rough days indeed!
Awesome! I absolutely love Creme Brulee! mmmmmm
Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕 I have to admit I’ve rarely met a dessert I didn’t like! hehe
Hola, Charlie! I’ve never had crème brûlée before. The way people are talking about how good it is makes me not want to try it because ADDICTION! 😂😂😂😂 A friend of mine just made pavlova for her family. It looked good, too. I’m pretty basic about my desserts. Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, glass of milk. 😂😂😂 Maybe one day I will make a pit stop or take the wrong exit ramp here in SA and end up in KC with you and we can get dessert together, Charlie. 😂😂😂
Wonderful painting! 😍😍😍
Hola, mi amiga! 😉💕 Thanks so much! You should definitely try this dessert… it’s actually very simple with just a few ingredients. But it looks so elegant and cool! hehe I’m always up for a dessert date! So fun! ❤️
Hello Charlie,
That creme brulee looks scrumptious.🙂 And that speaks volumes about your artistic talent coz I’m not very fond of it. But your painting made me want some. I am a dark chocolate lover all the way and it’s very easy to make me blissfully happy. Just a slice of chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache… mmmm… But I agree Charlie, it all feels great only in moderation. Today though am getting lucky at work. There’s a list of about 10 chocolate-based cookies that are gonna be tried out. I’ll eat a whole extra cookie as I think of you😉🍪
Love,
Mugdha
Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 And a cookie tasting? That’s awesome!!! Please do think of me! … it definitely requires a whole extra cookie to properly share it with me! 😉 hehe
That’s a great creme brulee, Charlie. I treated myself to a sausage and bacon sandwich for lunch on Saturday. Naughty but nice.
Thanks so much, Gary! 😉💕 That sounds wonderfully naughty but nice… and delicious! Worth it!
I love this post, and makes me think of the lovely art group that I run in Devon, England. We have two ladies that make sure we have a cake every week. I’m starting to think the group prefer the cake and coffee to art, however they still create some super artwork that we all enjoy as much as the extra calories 🍰 x
Thanks so much, Helena! 😃💕And that’s so awesome! That sounds like a wonderful group indeed!
Looks amazing!
Thanks so much! 😃
You and Philippe sound very disciplined around your diet. I quit eating most sugar and cut out a lot of carbs a month ago. You have a great attitude about the treat at the end of the day and sizing it appropriately to what’s come before. Love it!
Thanks so much, Sally! 😃💕 Yeah, it’s worked out really well for us… without ever having to feel like we’re having to really give up something!
